چکیده
The present study investigates the axial vibration of double-walled nanotubes. Using nanorod continuum model with van der Waals effect, vibrational frequencies are studied. Aydogdu (Journal Vibration and Control, Vol. 21, Issue 16, (2015), 3132-3154) proposed a reliable for in nanotube. This provided detailed investigation using effects. But sometimes, wrong equation might lead to erroneous scientific results. incorrect term nanotube is taken care correct inferences. Effectively, appear without decoupling as primary secondary semi-analytical method estimates coupled model. Two different boundary conditions like clamped-clamped clamped-free support, considered this computation. Pasternak medium support magnetic effects influence first second time. constant parameters don't vary length vibration. It means that still more understanding requires modeling force double-nanotube

Curvature Effects on Thermal Buckling Load of DWCNT Under Axial Compression Force
In this article, curvature effects on elastic thermal buckling of double-walled carbon nanotubes under axially compressed force are investigated using cylindrical shell model. Also, the small scale effect is taken into account in the formulation. The dependence of the interlayer van der Waals (vdW) pressure on the change of the curvatures of the inner and outer tubes at that point is considered...
متن کاملMagnetic Field Effects of Double-Walled Carbon Nanotubes
A theoretical discussion of electronic and transport properties of a particular family of double-wall carbon nanotubes, named commensurate structures of the armchair type (n,n)@(2n,2n) is addressed. A single π-band tight binding hamiltonian is considered and the magnetic field is theoretically described by following the Peierls approximation into the hopping energies. Our emphasis is put on inv...
متن کاملNonlinear Vibration Analysis of Embedded Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes in Thermal Environment
In this article, based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, the large-amplitude vibration of multiwalled carbon nanotubes embedded in an elastic medium is investigated. The method of incremental harmonic balance is implemented to solve the set of governing nonlinear equations coupled via the van der Waals (vdW) interlayer force. The influences of number of tube walls, the elastic medium, nanotub...
متن کاملEfficient implementation of a van der Waals density functional: application to double-wall carbon nanotubes.
We present an efficient implementation of the van der Waals density functional of Dion et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 92, 246401 (2004)], which expresses the nonlocal correlation energy as a double spatial integral. We factorize the integration kernel and use fast Fourier transforms to evaluate the self-consistent potential, total energy, and atomic forces, in O(NlogN) operations. The resulting overh...
متن کاملEffect of van der Waals interactions on the Raman modes in single walled carbon nanotubes.
We have measured the Raman spectrum of individual single walled carbon nanotubes in solution and compare it to that obtained from the same starting material where the tubes are present in ordered bundles or ropes. Interestingly, the radial mode frequencies for the tubes in solution are found to be approximately 10 cm (-1) higher than those observed for tubes in a rope, in apparent contradiction...
